The story is solid and filled with so many ups and downs as the arrival at their promised land is only the beginning for these hard-fighting defenders of the weak. I can't describe the story without spoilers, but if you enjoy post-apocalyptic sci-fi, read the whole series. Be prepared to binge read, though.Product details

I have been waiting for this book for a long time, but it was worth the wait! Great character development, and a lot of action.
I hope this saga continues. I loved all the characters. Except where was Mendez and Houndog from the first book. Did I miss something?
I hated for this series to end. I hope there is at least one more so I can read happens to the survivors. I really want to read about what Francis and the other ladies do to the evil people left on earth.
I think this is an interesting world Terry created. As the third in the series this book seems to be setting the moral and social metric for man's new world. I gave it a 4 because I don't care for the sexual innuendo , nor do I care for crafted sex scenes. It all seems such a waste. There seemed to be so much of it in this book , I don't remember it in the others,even the side stories told in this world. But that's just me, still a worthwhile read.
I think Terry McDonald almost tries too heard to push his message Evil white men will run amuck in the post-apocalyptic world. The reality would be Evil any-color men will run amuck. Also, can there be just one woman in his stories who isn't a victim? Just one?
I do think the world will devolve into ugliness, in the event of worldwide catastrophe, and the author does share that there is good in people that in the end, will prevail. I give 3 stars because the author does share important information, and I do think it is wise to be prepared for brutality, at least for a while.
I also appreciate his vision of hope that he tries to convey. The racial themes are a little too in your face. And yet, the amount of prejudice in this country is astounding and we all know Evil walks the Earth. Does it always have to be white men?
I do appreciate the care and thoughtfulness the author takes with his stories. In the end, I feel the author means to send a positive message about humanity, and what's wrong with that? I loved the nanobot angle. I chose to suspend disbelief and go along for the positive ride, and a good ride it was!
Terry should have quit while he was ahead. This third story in the series was a distinct let down after number two. You can skip it and just imagine your own sequel to number two--it will be as good.
